A fine set of the updated PC driver files for the Sony Eyetoy camera. This set contains the drivers for all 3 models of the Camera +audio. After using the older driver set and this, I have come to appreciate the various fixes that have been implemented. All in all, a must have for anyone using an Eyetoy on their PC.

Would be much better if there was a settings panel to access outside of the capture programs to customize settings globally.

Overall 9/10
It could be better with a control panel of some sort outside of the capture programs because interacting with them prevents you from using the parent window, which can be really frustrating.
The only solution i came up with was to run the program you will be using, then run the other program and access the control panel that way, both are linked to the same driver anyway. (which is why it would be better if there was an actual settings program for it)
Also, settings don't appear to save either.

The PlayStation EyeToy camera is a PlayStation controller that was designed specifically to use with specific EyeToy games for the PS2 and the PS3. It can also be used on Windows computers as a webcam. When plugged into a Windows PC, the PlayStation EyeToy can be used to create movies and pictures and to play PC webcam video games, and it will also work with videoconferencing programs such as Skype.
Plug the PlayStation EyeToy into a Windows computer using the USB port. Windows will pop up a message saying it has found new hardware and does not have the proper drivers to install the hardware. That is fine, because we're about to download the correct EyeToy drivers.
Look on the bottom of your EyeToy camera to see which version you have -- a Logitech camera or a Namtai camera. You can also open the Windows Device Manager and look for the EyeToy version listed under the imaging devices.
Unplug the EyeToy camera from your Windows computer and download the appropriate drivers needed to install your EyeToy camera onto your Windows computer.
Open and extract the drivers to a folder on your hard drive. It doesn't matter where you extract the files, just as long as you remember where they are. Open the folder where you extracted the files and find the file named 'OV519.inf.' Open this file using Windows Notepad.
Press CTRL+H at the same time on your keyboard, or click 'Edit' and 'Find' on the menu bar at the top of your screen. Search for the following line of text:
VID_05A9&PID_8519
and replace it with:
VID_054C&PID_0154 if you have decided that you have a Logitec EyeToy camera, or replace it with:
VID_054C&PID_0155 if you have decided that you have a Namtai EyeToy camera. Click the button that says, 'Replace All.'
Search for another line of text:
DeviceDesc='D-Link VGA Webcam'
and replace the words contained inbetween the quotation marks with the words:
'Eye Toy'
Note that there should only be one occurance of this line.
Save the driver file using the same name. If you have trouble saving because the file is read-only, simply right-click on the file and click on 'Properties.' Then click the box at the bottom to deselect 'Read-Only.'
Connect the PlayStation EyeToy to your Windows computer once again using the USB port. Windows will pop up a message asking you again for the proper EyeToy driver. Tell Windows that you have the driver on your hard drive, and navigate to the folder where you extracted the driver ZIP file. Windows will install the correct drivers automatically, and you are now able to use your PlayStation EyeToy on Windows as a normal webcam.
