Brutal Doom Extermination Day

On New Year's Eve of 2016, SergeantMarkIV released the Brutal Doom Starter Pack along with Version v20b. This campaign—which initially was called Hell on Earth but officially renamed to Extermination Day as of v21—is a three-episode standalone campaign which acts like a distilled retelling of the original two games.

So much brutality that Windows explodes (literally).

Extermination Day (formerly known as Starter Pack) is the Brutal Doom campaign, which was introduced in its version 20.

Skyrim stormcloak armor replacer mod. It uses many features of ZDoom, is designed to be able to crouch, jump and even rocket jump without fear of breaking the flow of the map. It’s made with Zandronum in mind, all maps support 8 players or even more. It also has an alternative ending if we finish the game on the Ultra Violence difficulty.

    • New textures
    • New skyboxes for Mars and Hell levels
    • Several new areas (specially a big rooftop fight on Dis)
    • Better connections between the end of Dis and the start of Cathedral
  • More natural cliffs on Gates of Hell
  • Punji traps on Blood Swamp and Gates of Hell
  • A totally new area on Nuclear Powerplant (introducing the new Evil Marines)

Why the subtitle?, the mod has several years in development and throughout all these years many conflicts have been generated in the small community due to its popularity, mainly due to the wave of new players who invaded it demanding that almost 20 years of Doom mods that precede Brutal Doom be compatible with this one because Brutal Doom is the definitive way to play Doom™ . Of course this, plus the attitude of the developer, Sergeant_Mark_IV, for its position, disinterest about it and questionable attitudes, generated its expulsion from one of the main forums of the community and the rejection of a large part of the developers, moderators and administrators of the same.

What is that all about?, in this version of Extermination Day, Sergeant_Mark_IV included a script inside the .pk3 that detects the mod Project Brutality and makes the port crash when generating particle emitters on each line of the map (possibly also taking the operative system with it in the process).

Project Brutality is a mod, like MANY others, based on Brutal Doom. The problem arose when its popularity began to reach the mod on which it is based and people began to ask Sergeant_Mark_IV to include features of this mod in their own mod, which generated a big problem of egos, mutual accusations and this outcome , something ironic because of the aforementioned.

In short, DO NOT try to play Extermination Day with Project Brutality, it will hang up the PC. It simply remains to wait for some good Samaritan to edit the .pk3 and release it to the public (probably happening in a matter of hours when the final versions are published).
